Comparisons on Ego Identy between Korean Adolescents and Those of Jilin Koreans

Abstract

|
We compared ego identity between Korean adolescents and those of Jilin Koreans. Results are as following:
There is no significant differences between level of ego identy between two groups. Degree of role confusion is more severe in Jilin adolescents than those of Koreans. In Korean adolescents, goal-directedness scale and interpersonal role
expectation
scale are upper level, self-assertiveness scale and stability scale lower level. But, in Jilin Korean adolescents self-assertiveness scale and interpersonal expectation scale are upper level, scales on sense of self and stability lower. The
higher
self-consistency in association between self-consciousness and age identity is, the higher the level of ego identity is. And subscales according to future-present self-consistency are similar to serial subscales of ego identity.
